My beloved friend Marzenka is an amazing talent. She calls herself a “freestyler”. You might think of Hip Hop now, but it is much, much more. Marzenka’s performance is an exciting journey through different music genres – from R&B and Soul to Hip Hop elements and pure Electronic & House. She performs at big corporate events as well as in pumping house clubs. I had the privilege to portrait her and follow her with my camera for a few weeks. This included gigs at Charie Munich, at a fashion show of the Designer Marcel Ostertag and in the studio of Jan Krause a.k.a. Beanfield. The vast variety of her work and the connection she creates with different audiences is simply stunning. It’s the Art of Freestyle.
